A prototype company website and self-service portal for PT Menara Logistik Indonesia, combining five service lines with entry points for shipment tracking, quote requests, booking and vessel schedules.
Context
PT Menara Logistik Indonesia provides air and sea freight forwarding, customs brokerage, warehousing and distribution, cargo insurance, and heavy lift and specialised cargo transport. Its head office is at Menara Karya Tower in Kuningan, South Jakarta, with a branch at Metro Trade Centre in Bandung. Its customs work covers specialised schemes such as PP-19 project imports, temporary import with customs bond, vooruitslag and break-bulk clearance. The heavy lift line includes ship and barge chartering, jacking and rigging, and over-dimensional loads.
The challenge
Logistics customers usually come to a forwarder's website with a task: check where a shipment is, get a price, or book space. Company profile sites in the sector often stop at a services list and a contact form, which pushes each of those tasks into email or phone. Menara also handles complex cargo, such as project imports and over-dimensional loads, which needs more explanation than a standard service card. The concept had to present a credible company and give repeat customers direct tools in the same place.
- Self-service tasks on the homepage
- Five service lines as one chain
- Room to explain complex cargo
- Bilingual for international shippers
- A base for a customer portal

Approach
How it came together.
- 01
Put the two most common tasks in the header
Lacak Kiriman (track shipment) and Minta Penawaran (request a quote) sit in the header next to the language switch, and the quote request is repeated as the main hero button. Repeat customers reach their task from any page in one click.
- 02
Grouped the self-service tools into one section
A Layanan Mandiri section holds four cards: tracking by reference, bill of lading or air waybill; a quote form that calculates chargeable weight on screen; a booking form with shipper, consignee and cargo data; and a vessel schedule search by port. The section is introduced as tasks that no longer need an email reply.
- 03
Presented five services as one supply chain
Service cards for forwarding, customs, heavy lift, warehousing and insurance sit under the heading "Satu mitra untuk seluruh rantai pasok". The customs and heavy lift cards list their specialised sub-services, so complex capability is visible without opening another page.
- 04
Answered why the company suits difficult cargo
A four-point section addresses complicated customs, heavy and oversized cargo, international air and sea routes, and warehousing. It speaks to the project and industrial shippers the service lines are built for.
- 05
Showed the network and office locations
Two office cards describe the Jakarta head office and the Bandung branch with full addresses, under a section explaining how the company reaches domestic and international markets from both cities.
- 06
Built the site in Indonesian and English
An ID/EN switch sits in the header, and the footer repeats the services, company pages and self-service links alongside a newsletter sign-up. International shippers and local clients use the same structure.
